Chris Coco’s Chill Out Tent is the alternative event you always wanted at a festival, a new way to relax and enjoy music and visuals, a mini festival beamed directly to you in your own home. Somewhere to find your happy place.
Music for Beaches is part of the global collective of DJs who have come together under the Chill Out Tent banner during lockdown to carry the musical torch in the dark times in which we currently find ourselves. Music has always been a joyous escape from whatever in life ails us. The Chill Out Tent community has a remedy, a musical remedy spreading good times and love.
MFB was part of the 24 hour solstice Chill Out Tent in June 2020. And also proudly contributed an all Australian mix for the December 2020 event featuring artists such as Alex Albrecht, Wilson Tanner, Jamie Porteous, and Zen in Space.
At the time of writing, Feb 2021, there have been ten events, nine Sunday evenings and an epic 24 hour stream for the Summer solstice, starring a selection of DJs including Mr Scruff, Rob Da Bank, Danielle Moore from Crazy P, Mixmaster Morris, Julia Tupinamba; featuring a movie premiere (Born Balearic - Jon Sa Trinxa and the spirit of Ibiza), broadcasts from a forest in Bali and a sunset in South Korea.
There have been interviews with music legends Maxi Jazz and Norman Jay, Pete Gooding, ambient sets from Tokyo and an after party in Ibiza.
Regular streams air on the last Sunday of each month.
The streams go out on the LiveFrom platform and Mixcloud Live, so every stream is rock solid, top quality and legal.
The aim is to celebrate and share beautiful film, music, art and interviews around a theme of chilled positivity.
